Ted

 I'm at a loss for words.....just 6 years ago, I was in the whelp box with my sister trying to help entertain puppies but never thought one of her puppies would end up with me....

Ted was many things: derpy, stubborn, full of slobber, endlessly lovable, and the world's best weighted blanket. He was the dog you could bury your face in after a hard day, and somehow he always seemed to know exactly when you needed one of his special bear hugs.

Ted loved running on the gangline with the other dogs, exploring new places, splashing in the water, and, of course, he would do just about anything for a treat (my malamutes trained him well). Every adventure was better because Ted was part of it.  It didn't matter how hot or long our adventures were, Ted would persevere. Ted would moved mountains for me if he could. His drive was exceptional and he made the malamutes look terrible somedays.

We will miss his big BORKS echoing through the house and stepping over him because he somehow always found the most inconvenient place possible to lie down. We will miss his talent for turning a quiet morning into a chorus of Malamute howls, proudly serving as everyone's alarm clock on days when we wanted to sleep in.

The house will be quieter now. The floors will be easier to navigate. The mornings may even be a little less chaotic. But we would gladly trip over him one more time, hear one more booming bark, or wake up to one more howl-filled morning if it meant having him back.

Rest easy, BIG GUY
